With the current coronavirus outbreak, Auburn eating establishments are altering their operations as follows:
Johnson-Brock Public Schools has canceled school and activities starting Wednesday, March 18, 2020 through Tuesday, March 31, 2020. We will reevaluate the situation on the 31st and determine if school can resume. At the 3:30pm Monday press conference regarding the Coronavirus, Governor Ricketts and State Commissioner of Education Matt Blomstedt recommended schools in Nebraska close temporarily as a precautionary measure to help reduce the spread of the virus. ESU 4 schools have been actively collaborating with the Southeast District Health Department and upon the Southeast District Health Department recommendation to close school for two week periods.
Board Notes Discontinuance Of Meals Being Served at Auburn Senior Center; Meals on Wheels Are Viable Option with Some Changes
Due to the concern for the health of all clients, the Auburn Senior Center Board has chosen to take the following steps effective Monday, March 16.
For the climatological winter the region averaged 2.8 degrees above normal. There were 22 days with maximums at or below freezing, normal is 30. There were five days at or below freezing, five less than normal. The coldest reading of the winter was -2 degrees on February 13th.
