Auburn’s RV Park Opened to Public Use on May 20th; Ball Fields Will Be Available for Restricted Use Starting June 1

The City of Auburn opened its RV park area on Wednesday, May 20, according to Mayor Dan White.

Despite many summer community celebrations being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Peru Community Impact Group is sponsoring several activities on Friday through Sunday, June 5-7.

It will likely be June before the Nemaha County Courthouse doors will be unlocked.

New Peru State College PASA Officers Elected

After having a great start to their year, the Peru Association of Student Athletes (PASA) saw the year come to a screeching halt due to the coronavirus.

Auburn Legion Baseball teams will begin practice June 1st in preparation for their first games scheduled in mid-June.

Hannah Clary Signs With Peru State Softball, Women’s Basketball Teams

Peru State head softball coach J.L. Thomason recently announced the signing of Hannah Clary from Falls City earlier this spring.

James Cyrus Boellstorff passed away peacefully on April 8, 2020 in Bryan, Texas.

Ola Lee (Albin) Riley, 89, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on February 5, 1931, at home in rural Humboldt to Fred and Fannie (Bacon) Albin. She attended Honey Creek School and graduated in 1948.

Betty K. Palmer, age 93 of Nebraska City, Nebraska passed away on Thursday evening, May 7, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City.
