Veterans Services Available at Mobile Unit Visit to Auburn

Auburn area veterans recently had the opportunity to obtain a variety of information.

The Vet Center van made a stop at Legion Memorial Park in Auburn. Jeff Baker, Ken Colson, Larry Gerlt and Matthew Starkey comprised the staff. Baker is Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Department of Nebraska senior vice commander. Colson is veteran outreach program specialist with the Lincoln Veterans Center. Gerlt is membership chair of the National Council of Administration representative for Nebraska. He served as 2017-2018 VFW state commander. Starkey, of Seward, is department VFW officer and Seward County veterans service officer.

Baker noted the representatives had great weather and a great time visiting the veterans. The staff will continue working in the Auburn area to build up the VFW post, he added.
