Specifications to Design Final Phase of Voltage Conversion/Substation Project Approved by BPW

The Auburn Board of Public Works (BPW) Wednesday, Feb. 19, is allowing Olsson to design specifications on the Phase III 4160 conversion project.

General Manager Dave Hunter favors completing the design allowing the utility to obtain a handle on the project’s estimated cost.

It covers the new line from the southwest corner of Auburn to the power plant substation and under build distribution line. The general manager calls it the last phase of the original project proposed by the utility a few years ago. He favors proceeding with the phase while awaiting arrival of substation material.
