Sen. Slama: Property Taxes and Flood Relief Topping 2020 Legislative Agenda

Entering her second year in the Unicameral, state Sen. Julie Slama shares what she hopes to accomplish in 2020.
“I’ll continue to fight for property tax relief, flood recovery resources and policies to spur economic development on our Main Streets,” the Peru resident tells the Nemaha County Herald staff.
She calls the first two items the biggest issues facing state senators when the 2020 session starts Wednesday, Jan. 8. The 60-day session is scheduled to end Thursday, April
23.
