Sen. Julie Slama Favors Continuing Policy Changes Supporting Southeast, Rural Nebraskans in 2021 Legislature

The Nebraska Unicameral will deal with major issues facing the Cornhusker State in 2021, District 1 Sen. Julie Slama reports.

The Peru resident continues those include continuing to work for structural property tax relief, redistricting following the 2020 U.S. Census, passing a balanced budget and cutting back on needless red tape.

Slama began her third year and first full term when the initial session of the 107th Legislature convened Wednesday morning, Jan. 6. The 90-day session is scheduled to conclude Thursday, June 10.

To prepare for the upcoming months, Slama recalls researching issues, while having meetings and conversations with constituents.
