Oct. 12 Rural Impact Hub Forum for Legislative Dist. 1 Has Been Canceled

AUBURN — The Rural Impact Hub Forum for candidates, Janet Palmtag and Senator Julie Slama, running for Nebraska’s 1st Legislative District, has been canceled. In recent weeks, the candidates have been unable to agree on the forum’s format. The event, originally slated for October 12, was a continuation of the forum hosted virtually on March 30, 2020 leading up to the primary election.

The spring event attracted the attention of hundreds of people and allowed equal amounts of time for each candidate to discuss issues directly related to southeast Nebraskans. Any additional questions regarding these topics can be submitted directly to the candidates prior to the general election on November 3.
