Nemaha County Hospital Taking Action to Manage Coronavirus

Auburn, Nebr. (March 10, 2020) - Nemaha County Hospital announced today it is taking action to handle the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). Effective immediately, visitor restrictions are in place. Anyone entering Nemaha County Hospital will be pre-screened for the virus at the hospital entrances.

The pre-screening is an assessment recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The patient will be asked if they have traveled internationally within 14 days of their symptoms starting, if they have come into close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, and if they have a fever greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, lower respiratory symptoms like shortness of breath or coughing, or a sore throat. Patients who answer “no” to all these questions can enter the hospital.
