Butterfly Lane Salon & Boutique Will Soon Be An Auburn Option

A friendship lasting many years will soon result in a new business for Auburn. Darlene Schwindt and Kathy Cook will operate Butterfly Lane Salon & Boutique at 2210 J Street.

The women said they had discussed the idea of going into business for a while and everything began to come together late last Summer. They acquired the property last September and have been doing a lot of work on the building since then. Plans are to open for business around the middle of February

The business’ name came about as a tribute to the Schwindt’s daughter Allison, who died in 2004. Darlene said, “After Allison’s passing, we seemed to always see butterflies. We felt that to be a sign from her that everything was going to be okay. So, we found the name Butterfly Lane Salon & Boutique to be very appropriate.”
