2020 Slightly Warmer and Drier Than Normal Year

2020 averaged 0.2 degree above normal. June was the warmest as compared to normal at +4.4 degrees while October averaged -4.4 degrees. There were six months warmer than normal and six months below normal teamperatures. Maximum for the year was 97 degrees on Sept. 6th. There were 41 days of 90 degree maximums, while normal is 38 days. The minimum was -2 degrees on February 13th. There were 25 days of daily maximums below freezing, while normal is 33. 150 daily minimums were below freezing, 21 more than normal. Only five subzero days were recorded, which is half of normal. The latest freeze of the spring recorded was 31 degrees on May 11, while the first of the fall freeze was October 2nd. There was a 141 day freeze free period, while normal is 166.
